The hosting of the ICC Women's T20 World Cup is likely to be handed over from Bangladesh to the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

The final decision by the ICC was to be made on August 15, but the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has asked for some additional money and is in talks with the country's army chief and the caretaker government to ensure security for the tournament.
