Dhaka (Crics Point) Bangladesh Cricket Board has suspended the team's head coach Chandika Hathurosinghe for violation of discipline.

According to cricket website Cricinfo, BCB has also issued a show-cause notice to Hathorusinghe. The report stated that Phil Simmons will replace him as the team's head coach and will serve as the interim coach until Champions Trophy 2025. BCB president Farooq Ahmed said that Hathorosinghe was found guilty of two violations of the rules, the first charge of misconduct with a player and the second charge of taking excessive leave even beyond the contractual leave.
