New Delhi Indian fast bowler Muhammad Shami's return to cricket may be delayed, the management does not want to rush it.

Mohammad Shami last played competitive cricket at the ODI World Cup held in his country last year, during which he suffered an ankle injury. He underwent ankle surgery in February and is currently undergoing rehabilitation at the National Cricket Academy. He has started bowling practice, but he is unlikely to return for the home series against Bangladesh next month.
Shami's target is the opening match of the Ranji Trophy in October, with management not wanting to take any chances with the fitness of their key fast bowler due to the busy season.
