According to the details, Shikhar Dhawan announced his retirement through social media, in which he said, 'I am announcing my retirement from international cricket and domestic cricket. Much played for'.
He thanked the Indian Cricket Board and said, "I am grateful to the BCCI for giving me the opportunity. I tell myself that I am not sad that I will not play for the country again. But I am happy to have played for my country and that is the biggest thing for me.
The Indian cricketer said that 'today I am standing at a point where there are only memories to look back and the whole world to look forward to. I always had only one goal to play for India and that happened. Thank you family, team and BCCI.
It should be noted that Shikhar Dhawan represented India in 34 Tests, 167 ODIs and 68 T20 matches.
