According to media reports, Bollywood actress and co-owner of Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise Punjab Kings, Preity Zinta, has filed an application in the Chandigarh High Court to restrain Mohit Burman from selling part of the franchise to another party. Be stopped.
The report also revealed that Punjab Kings franchise's well-known businessman Mohit Burman holds 48 percent while Preity Zinta and Ness Wadia own 23 percent, while the remaining 6 percent is held by a person named Karan Pal.
The Chandigarh High Court has fixed the hearing of the case on August 20, 2024 on the plea of Preity Zinta.
According to the report, Preity Zinta has taken a stand in the petition that she wants to sell her 11.5% shareholding in the company to Mohit Burman, the court has issued notices to the parties and sought their response.
As disputes and differences continue between Punjab Kings owners Preity Zinta and Mohit Burman, the Bollywood actress has reportedly filed an application for interim measures under Section 9 of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996.
It should be noted that Mohit Burman owns 48% of the franchise and is also a board member of the Indian Premier League.
Meanwhile, Mohit Burman denied these allegations and said that he has no plans to sell his shares in Punjab Kings.
